1) Delighting in the Trinity: An Introduction to the Christian Faith

Dr. Michael Reeves – an author, theologian, historian and professor who teaches at Wales Evangelical School of Theology – offers Delighting in the Trinity: An Introduction to the Christian Faith 2012 Preaching.  This award winning book presents an introduction to Christianity and Christian rooted in the triune God―Father, Son and Spirit.  Reeves has a wonderful sense of humor and a deep perspective on the Father, Son and Spirit that offers a fuller and fresher understanding of the Trinity to the reader.

2) The Forgotten Trinity

The Forgotten Trinity is a balanced look at all three persons of the Trinity by James R. White – an elder of the Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church, director of Alpha and Omega Ministries and an adjunct professor with Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.  His book features easy to read text written in laymans terms, simple illustrations and clear teaching.

3) The Holy Trinity: In Scripture, History, Theology, and Worship

Robert Letham presents The Holy Trinity: In Scripture, History, Theology, and Worship – a well-researched book that examines the biblical foundations of the Trinity,  traces its development through the twentieth century, and engages the reader on (1) the incarnation, (2) worship and prayer, (3) creation and missions, and (4) persons.  A challenging read, Letham maintains a good balance between the scholarly aspects of the discussion and its practical applications.

4) What is the Trinity? (Crucial Questions (Reformation Trust))

What is the Trinity? is part of the Crucial Questions series from the Reformation Trust.  Written by Dr. R.C. Sproul, it carefully explains the doctrine of the Trinity in 63 pages.  While technical in places (for a layman especially) this booklet is truly remarkable in its depth of understanding of this often difficult to grasp Christian doctrine.

5) Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Relationships, Roles, and Relevance

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Relationships, Roles, and Relevance is Bruce Ware’s examination of the ways in which the three Persons of the Trinity relate to one another and to us.  An easy to read book that is more practical than theological.
